I have been involved with student leadership ever since my first year at UP. I have served three terms as part of the executive committee of the Day House called Luminous and I have played a role in numerous mentorship programs within the structure. I have a passion for working with students and I am currently approaching the end of my term as Chairperson – that is why I am looking for an opportunity to continue working with students. I have always had a passion for English literature, and I aim to share my contagious excitement surrounding the work in order to motivate students to engage with the texts and theory. I have also been involved in the TuksRes Women in Leadership Academy and have been on outreaches to schools where we had to talk to and work with students. I am approachable and easy to talk to and I will make sure to create a safe space for the students.
